Battle Director Tai Yasue Blogs About Birth By Sleep

by Nick

The Co-Dirctor/Battle Director of Birth by Sleep, Tai Yasue, has recently started a series of blogs on 1UP.com's website with his first blog explaining the battle system and the new features therein. Yasue covers all his bases by talking about Birth by Sleep's Command Deck System along with the new D-Link and Shotlock systems.

Yasue also mentions the reasoning behind the new gameplay features.

While coming up with the battle system for KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep we wanted something that would be exciting to control, with dynamic interactions as in previous KINGDOM HEARTS titles and also something that gave a lot of freedom to the player in customizing combat capabilities. Judging from the reviews in Japan we were successful in doing both in large part to the Command Deck system.

Yasue then goes on to describe each component of the new combat system to reveal what makes it so unique and engaging. Fans will be delighted to know that more blog posts will be appearing possibly up until the game's release on the 7th of September for North America and the 10th for Europe.

But for now, fans may want to check out the rest of Yasue's blog.
