The Official Kingdom Hearts compilation soundtrack was released on Tuesday in Japan. The set includes three discs; two of which are dedicated to Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.
The final disc includes tracks from three of the other Kingdom Hearts titles including Re:Coded, 358/2 Days, and Birth By Sleep Final Mix.Fans can enjoy nearly 3 different versions of Dearly Beloved and various battle themes such as Forze dell'Oscurita from BBS Final Mix.
Unfortunately it's only available in Japanese retail stores. However, Play-Asia.com is shipping out copies to the US for $41.99 on their website here
Nomura has constantly been going on a "mystery game", which was notably absent from the recent Square Enix 1st Production Department Premiere event.
Never fear though, the internet shall provide everything you need to know, as the ending of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix has revealed exactly what this "mystery game" is. And it's not Kingdom Hearts 3.
Instead, Square Enix has decided to produce a sequel to Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, which has been dubbed Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep -Volume Two-.
You know, part of me thinks Kingdom Hearts 3 is like the end of a rainbow.
The Kingdom Hearts news draught has come to a stop today as a scan for Birth By Sleep Final Mix featuring some brand new info has surfaced thanks to Jump magazine.
Just looking at the scan, you will see a rather large image of Aqua weilding Eraqus' Keyblade. This might imply some more cutscenes that Kingdom Hearts fans have yet to see. Does this mean perhaps other characters will get some more time to shine as well?
I suppose we will find out soon enough with the January 27th release date coming up fast.
For all you Kingdom Hearts book collectors out there, you probably already know that the official Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep novel was announced some time last month. Well now you can enjoy looking at the cover of the first volume.
The cover features Ventus, Terra, and Aqua sitting on a rocky terrain underneath a beautiful night sky. For those of you who might be out of the loop, many of the Kingdom Hearts games have had a novel series of the same name. This first volume of the Birth By Sleep series is titled "Something Strange".
A scan of the boss, No Heart, who was announced recently by Square Enix, has been released just in time for the January release.
The scan features a fullsize image of "No Heart" looking quite shiny, yet also quite ominous. He's decked out in armour which was said to be Xemnas'. He also wears what looks to me like a lovely bronze crown on top of his head and some fur above his left shoulder. Perhaps it's in order to keep his shoulder warm?
In any case, No Heart seems like one keyblade fighter no one should meet in a dark alley. All those Japanese fans better be ready to fight this bad boy come January 20th.
For all of you counting down the days until Birth By Sleep Final Mix's release date in Japan, you will be happy to know that the game's official website has been updated. Quite a few images have been added to the website's "New Features" section showing some of the many things for players to look forward to.
One of the two updates shows a better look at the mysterious armored warrior who was featured in recent Final Mix scans. Under the section "Armor of the Master", you will find many images of players fighting this new foe and you'll hopefully be able to decipher whether or not it might be Master Eraqus as many have theorized. The second section features images of some new co-op commands within the Mirage Arena.
If only January 20th could get here sooner so we can see who this mysterious fighter is!
According to the official Square Enix Music Twitter, there will be a brand new Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack Compilation featuring all the songs Kingdom Hearts fans know and love plus a few extra that have never been heard before.
These new tracks apparently will come from the three newest games in the series: Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Re:Coded. Although it's unclear how many tracks will be featured from each of the games.
The official Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack Compilation will be released on February 2nd in Japan at 3,800 yen.
With Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix out in just over a month in Japan (January 20th to be precise), the official box art has now been released via Amazon Japan.
The cover again features the main protagonists, Aqua, Ventus and Terra, while also sporting a rather grumpy looking King Mickey! There is also a rather lovely purple theme going on.
You can also see that it's been rated Cero A, not that that matters as we're unlikely to ever see the game in the West. Why oh why must they treat us so badly.
