More information has now been revealed about Kingdom Hearts 3DS' story following another interview with Tetsuya Nomura's. It was conducted by none other than, Famitsu magazine.
Nomura has revealed that the story this time around will not be as "drawn-out" like previous titles. What this means is Dream Drop Distance's cutscenes will be integrated with the playing experience therefore fans will be able to control the cutscene. This is so that gamers will never feel like they have to stop playing just because a cutscene happens. This will be similar to the gameplay style announced for Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Still no word on when fans will actually be able to see the game, however, this seems like an interesting new direction for the game.
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series, whose hobbies include being interviewed constantly, has once again been interviewed. The Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Ultimania has revealed a second interview with Nomura as well as the first which can be read here.
As the Re:Coded Ultimania is considered a guide of sorts, the interview contains spoilers that may ruin the game for some fans. If you do not wish to possibly ruin the story for yourselves then i suggest you do not read on.
Kingdom Hearts fans may be familiar with the Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Ultimania, a guide that essentially contains tips, cheats, secrets and spoilers but more importantly for us, information. This information comes in the form of an exclusive interview with the Director of Kingdom Hearts, Tetsuya Nomura.
Thanks to Heartstation.org, a translation of the interview can be found below. It is very important to mention however that the interview contains spoilers that may ruin the game for some readers.
You have been warned.
Same as always, this is our chance to toss questions at director Tetsuya Nomura having to do with the story revealed in Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded. We’ll try to ask about the secret event from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and the mysteries involving Kingdom Hearts III as well! (Interviewer: Ohno Yuuko)
Data Sora can newly obtain a legitimate Keyblade during his adventure, but are there changes to the real Keyblade when that happens?
Nomura: No, it’s a data version the entire time. However like with the first Keyblade, it wasn’t created by someone else. It comes from the heart’s connections with the data, hinting towards the story theme, “Can a heart be born in an existence made of data?”

Tetsuya Nomura, Director of Kingdom Hearts and a big fan of teasing his fans, has recently sat down with Japanese magazine Famitsu to talk about Kingdom Hearts 3D. The game, to be released on the future Nintendo 3DS system, is the subject of both intrigue and ridicule. Fans are shrugging off the future title as 'another KH spin-off', but in the interview, Nomura believes differently.
The most interesting facts of the interview can be seen below thanks to the translation by Heartstation.org, the interview covers some key areas regarding the gameplay and the impact it may have on the overall story.
“In 3D you will be able to play as Sora and Riku, but we are considering making their main operation systems different. In Chain of Memories they both used cards but they used them differently. We’re thinking about having two types of play styles like that.”
“Even though it’s a secret as to why Sora and Riku appear in their Kingdom Hearts outfits, it’s essential for the story.”

Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series, was interviewed recently in Nintendo Dream. Nomura spoke about Kingdom Hearts 3D mostly and merely touched on the recently released Re:Coded.
The full interview is currently being translated by KHInsider but they did manage to supply the following details leaving fans anticipating the full translation.
The atmosphere in KH3D will be different from other titles. There will be new worlds. KH3D will be close to how CoM had a story for Sora and Riku, but it's not like they are going to be separated in this adventure. Nomura wants to add three new "elements" to KH3D, things that wouldn't be possible to do on any console other than Nintendo 3DS. Nomura is thinking about more titles apart from KH3D.
Re:Coded's ending and BBS' secret movies give hints as to what Sora has to do in future titles.
It is interesting to note that Nomura will be introducing three new "elements" that are only possible with the Nintendo 3DS. We know that 3D must be one of them but what of the other two? Looks like we will all have to wait until Nomura reveals more, or the game's release.
Kingdom Hearts titles are well known among fans to contain secret videos and endings for players who wish to put in the extra effort to unlock them. Players who purchase Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded may be surprised to learn that it is not a video that they can unlock, it's a conversation.
Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts' Director, revealed the news via Twitter, explaining that there would be no movie or event scene, it would be more accurate to call it a "secret talk". It may sound a little underwhelming but the conversation will hold great importance in regards to future events.
It's hard to say if this was Nomura's decision from the start or whether Square Enix's famously beautiful visuals were simply too much for the Nintendo DS's capabilities. Either way, the title has enough features to look past something as minimal as graphics.
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be available in Japan on the 7th of October.
The Nintendo 3DS, well known for it's 3D effects without the use of glasses, was the center of attention at a recent Nintendo press conference in Japan. Nintendo detailed their launch plans for the new portable system and with the help of Japanese Developers, described some of the games that we'll see on it aswell.
Most important to note for Kingdom Hearts fans was that Tetsuya Nomura himself was featured in a video to talk a little about his own game, Kingdom Hearts 3D. Not a lot is known about the game but it was one of the many 3DS titles announced at E3 this year, hopefully Nomura can shed some light on it in the video in our full story.
Nomura explains some interesting things about the game, most importantly the "unique" system that the game will incorporate. Unfortunately though, Nomura also shares his vision of creating even more games for the platform, this is good for Nintendo, but we just want Kingdom Hearts III.
