Kingdom Hearts fans who follow the news very closely may remember that a Twitter account was created for Kingdom Hearts news in Japan. Now the same can be said for North America as the new Twitter account "KH_Official_NA" has been opened.
Only three pieces of news have arised out of the account with one of these being the account's official opening. The other two pieces of news are in regards to the recent 'New York Comic Con' event in which Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded was in playable form.
A picture of the Re:Coded booth was included in the twitter feed, the booth contained several demos of the game along with a trailer playing for those in wait to play the game. What's more important than anything is that the game was in English, showing that the development of the Western version is developing smoothly.
The Official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account has been updated with four new posts since we last checked, some had even included links to pictures. The posts unfortunately make little sense thanks to Google Translate but it's better than nothing.
Among the posts, pictures were included which we have posted next to their significant tweets. The normal and glittery Re:Coded box art could mean that there will be a Collector's Edition, but it is mere speculation at this point. The first picture is rather interesting though, it is surely a Keyblade in the process of being made but for what purpose? Maybe Square Enix are planning to make KH3D a little too realistic. Just a thought.
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, had previously stated that Kingdom Hearts would be getting it's own Twitter. Well, unlike his games that take up way too much development time, his promise of keeping fans up-to-date using the social networking site has been kept.
The Kingdom Hearts Twitter page (@_KINGDOMHEARTS) is unfortunately written in Japanese and without a proper translation, the posts are open to interpretation. 'Google Translate' is a useful tool to understand a little more of what is being said but judging from the excerpts below, it may be helpful to wait for a proper translation.
The posts are slightly confusing if anything, but from the first post, the Kingdom Hearts Twitter will keep fans updated about future Kingdom Hearts news. So feel free to go there for the latest KH news, so long as you speak Japanese.
At the time of this story there have been six tweets made so far and can be viewed in our full story.
For somebody who was reluctant to use Twitter, Tetsuya Nomura is becoming quite the obsessive....tweeter? The Kingdom Hearts Director always seems to have something to say about his upcoming games and recently, some of Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show plans.
On that note, Nomura recently tweeted about TGS, and the confirmation that Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be playable this year. He confirmed the news through 'The 3rd Birthday' twitter feed, despite announcing that Kingdom Hearts will be getting its own feed.
Hopefully this means that TGS will bring some exciting news coverage, the only downside is that we won't be able to attend and experience the game ourselves. Not that we could read any of the Japanese anyway.
