Aerith

Kingdom Hearts

Minor Character

In Kingdom Hearts, Aerith is first encountered in Traverse Town. She has found herself here because she lost her hown to the Heartless when she young. She attempts to find more out about the Heartless alongside Leon and Yuffie, ahd is often found accompanying one of them.

Upon meeting with Donald and Goofy in Traverse Town, Aerith is able to explain what she knows about the Heartless, and about the Keyblade. She makes sporadic appearances throughout the rest of the game, but later appears in Hollow Bastion's library. Here she continues her research into the Heartless, and upon speaking to her, Sora can learn the Curaga spell.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Minor Character

While in Castle Oblivion, Aerith appears in the memory-based Traverse Town alongside Leon, Yuffie and Cid. At first she doesn't seem to recognise Sora. However, after speaking with him, she realises that she is actually just part of Sora's memory and isn't real. She helps Sora by giving him advise, for example, that he should always be on his guard.

Kingdom Hearts II

Minor Character

Aerith returns in Kingdom Hearts II and this time she is found in Hollow Bastion and the Radiant Garden. As with Kingdom Hearts, Aerith is once again working with Yuffie and Leon in an attempt to return the town to its former state. As such, the three of them belong to the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee.

She also has a extra role to play in attempting to aid Cloud. She encourages him throughout the game, telling him that she is sure he will be able to succeed and that he will find his light. However, she never actually meets him in person and her assistance isn't direct.

During the Invasion of Hollow Bastion, Aerith is involved in the conflict. However, she takes a more passive stance and is seen healing people who have been hurt during the battle. Also during Sora's visit to the Tron themed part of the game, she assists him against the Master Control Program by downloading the deletion program.
