Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep will be available in the West this week but Japanese gamers are already classing the PSP title as old news. Re:Coded however is the main topic of conversation between Japanese fans of the collaborative series from Disney and Square Enix.
To cater for this thirst for Re:Coded news, Japanese magazine 'Famitsu' have featured the upcoming Nintendo DS game a number of times. Western fans hardly ever find the means to read the Famitsu articles word for word but the magazine's screenshots are interesting non-the-less.
KHInsider have generously provided scans of the latest Re:Coded coverage in Famitsu and we've included them in the full story to view.
On another note, the Official Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Japanese Box Art has been confirmed and can be seen below. The image features the game's main characters and a few of the 'bug' blocks that players will be seeing a lot of during the game.
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded has recently been featured in Jump magazine in Japan, with a focus on the Olympus Coliseum world. In previous titles, the Coliseum was an area dedicated to challenging players on their combat skills by housing some of the toughest enemies in the game.
Besides the harder battles found later on in a number of Kingdom Hearts titles, the Coliseum is also a part of the story, introducing many characters like Hercules and even Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. From the images from the scan below, we can deduce that players will be able to battle Cerberus, a three-headed hound of hell that typically acts as an early boss in other titles.
By the looks of things, players will fortunately be able to team up with Hercules and Cloud to defeat the beast. But even though these two new allies are extremely helpful in such a situation, it still begs the question, where are Donald and Goofy?
The Japanese Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded website has just been updated with images and descriptions of three worlds that will make an appearance in the game. It is highly unlikely that any of the worlds in the new game will be anything more than what has been seen in the original Kingdom Hearts: Coded already.
To avoid confusion, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is a remake of the original mobile phone game Kingdom Hearts: Coded. Re:Coded is set to improve on it's original in every way, all whilst taking full advantage of the Nintendo DS platform which it will be released exclusively on.
In any case, Destiny Islands, Traverse Town and Wonderland have now been confirmed for Re:Coded and can be seen as they appear on the Official Re:Coded Website below.

Scans of this weeks Famitsu magazine have confirmed the presence of Isa and Lea in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, otherwise known as Axel and Saix in the previous Kingdom Hearts games.
Both Isa and Lea will inevitably become members of 'Organization XIII', but as Birth by Sleep is set many years before the events of Kingdom Hearts II we may get to interact with the characters before that happens.

The official boxart for the upcoming PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep has been officially confirmed. This news follows a previous story in which a rumoured image floating around the internet was speculated to be the official boxart, as it turns out, the rumour was true.
Sony's official Japanese website has recently been updated and now reveals the previously rumoured artwork as the official boxart of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. It was only logical that we would see the confirmation of the boxart in the last few weeks leading up to the release of the game in Japan.
Japanese fans can look forward to the game's release in Japan on the 9th of January, 2010. Can we expect the same boxart when the game finally arrives on Western shores?
