Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX Ditches Major European Languages

NEWS By Fozzie Aug 21, 2014 at 1:42pm (EST)

Kingdom Hearts co-director, Tai Yasue, revealed in a recent interview that Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX will not contain dubbing for major European languages such as French, German, or Spanish.

Apparently this decision was made due to the fact that the additional scenes in the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts 2 are only dubbed in English. So in order to keep the game consistent, the team made the executive decision to ditch the dubbing and provide gamers with subbing for these languages.

Yasue also stated that the reason the remasters have yet to be released on the Xbox 360 is due to the difficulty and expense of porting the titles over from the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. The chances of the games being released as downloadable titles on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are also very slim.

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX will release on the PlayStation 3 on December 2nd in the US and December 8th in the Europe. You can read the full interview on Meristation.
