This month's edition of Famitsu magazine included a small booklet that contained an interview with Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura.
According to the booklet, Shimomura started out learning music at a very early age and studied it during college, a job oppurtunity with Capcom presented itself and soon Shimomura's music was featured in games such as 'Street Fighter 2' and 'Breath of Fire'.
Shimomura found her creativity to be limited at Capcom and soon sought to compose music for the RPG (Role-playing game) genre, namely games at Square-Enix. Among 'Super Mario RPG' and 'Live A Live', Shimomura was given the oppurtunity to work on the Kingdom Hearts series.

The next issue of Famitsu Weekly is to feature an interview with Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura and snippets of it have appeared online. This small part of the interview gives us some info on the Western version of Birth by Sleep and some insight into the future of the Kingdom Hearts series.
Nomura also confirms in the interview that a new title is "being prepared for public announcement", this means we can expect a possible new Kingdom Hearts title soon. Whether this title is Kingdom Hearts 3 or not will have to remain in speculation until the announcement.
Nomura also goes on to say that "we basically want to produce one title a year for the Kingdom Hearts series", meaning that we may see this mystery title's release sometime next year.

Two New Birth By Sleep Scans Of Kairi From Famitsu
Wed, Dec 9th, 2009, 9:54 am (EST) by Nick
More pictures of Kairi have appeared in Famitsu magazine scans prompting questions as to how much of an impact she will have on the story of the upcoming PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

The first scan shows Kairi listening to her grandmother who we had previously seen in the original Kingdom Hearts during a flashback witnessed by Sora. The second scan shows Aqua bowing to King Mickey as Kairi looks on innocently holding some flowers.
These scans seem to have more of a focus on Kairi leading us to believe she will play much more of a key role in the story of Birth By Sleep, doubt still remains however that she will feature as a playable character.
