Tetsuya Nomura On Sora and Kingdom Hearts 3

Japanese magazine Famitsu are currently paying tribute to its fans' favourite characters with Kingdom Hearts' main character Sora being one of those chosen. Famitsu have therefore interviewed Sora's creator Tetsuya Nomura on the birth of Sora and the possible future of the Kingdom Hearts series.

Sora's original design was meant to be a mix between a lion and a human, incorporating a tail and beast-like ears. Sora was also meant to wield a chainsaw instead of the Kingdom Hearts now iconic weapon, the Keyblade. Because of the similarities between the original Sora and Final Fantasy IXs' character Zidane, Nomura and Disney decided to make a few modifications and create the character you know today.

New Kingdom Hearts Play Arts Revealed

Play Arts, well known for their Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts figurines, have just revealed some new additions to their vast array of collectable figures to coincide with the release of Kindom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PSP.

Kingdom Hearts Play Arts CloudKingdom Hearts Play Arts King MickeyKingdom Hearts Play Arts Sora The set of three figures features Cloud Strife, King Mickey and Sora in his Christmas Town attire, a must have for any avid Kingdom Hearts fan. Online retailers such as AmiAmi and HobbySearch are currently taking pre-orders for the figures at 3,800 Yen apiece. They are set to be released around late April of next year in Japan but no confirmed American or European release date as of yet.

Based on the popularity of the Play Art's brand, these figures will not be available for long so if you're a die hard fan it would be best to order sooner rather than later.
