Official Kingdom Hearts Twitter Goes Live
Thu, Sep 2nd, 2010, 2:09 pm (EST) by Nick
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, had previously stated that Kingdom Hearts would be getting it's own Twitter. Well, unlike his games that take up way too much development time, his promise of keeping fans up-to-date using the social networking site has been kept.
The Kingdom Hearts Twitter page (@_KINGDOMHEARTS) is unfortunately written in Japanese and without a proper translation, the posts are open to interpretation. 'Google Translate' is a useful tool to understand a little more of what is being said but judging from the excerpts below, it may be helpful to wait for a proper translation.
The posts are slightly confusing if anything, but from the first post, the Kingdom Hearts Twitter will keep fans updated about future Kingdom Hearts news. So feel free to go there for the latest KH news, so long as you speak Japanese.
At the time of this story there have been six tweets made so far and can be viewed in our full story.
Re:Coded Will Be Playable At The Tokyo Game Show
Fri, Aug 27th, 2010, 2:01 pm (EST) by Nick
For somebody who was reluctant to use Twitter, Tetsuya Nomura is becoming quite the obsessive....tweeter? The Kingdom Hearts Director always seems to have something to say about his upcoming games and recently, some of Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show plans.
On that note, Nomura recently tweeted about TGS, and the confirmation that Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be playable this year. He confirmed the news through 'The 3rd Birthday' twitter feed, despite announcing that Kingdom Hearts will be getting its own feed.
Hopefully this means that TGS will bring some exciting news coverage, the only downside is that we won't be able to attend and experience the game ourselves. Not that we could read any of the Japanese anyway.
Nomura Tweets About Possible Tokyo Game Show Plans
Thu, Aug 26th, 2010, 12:04 pm (EST) by Nick
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has become quite the Twitter fiend. Since starting up 'The 3rd Birthday Twitter' feed, he has revealed inside information and news as well as cryptic comments about his current and future projects.
Recently, Nomura announced that Kingdom Hearts will be getting it's very own Twitter feed. This makes sense due to the amount of Kingdom Hearts related posts have been made under the guise of the 3rd Birthday's Twitter feed.
On that note, Nomura did happen to mention Re:Coded in his latest tweet.
Weather sure is nice. Good morning! Last night I talked with Taba-chan about various things. 3rd Birthday of course as well as about Agito. The staff that played Re:Coded are excited and the anticipation for 3rd Birthday is growing too. It seems the trailer for the other title occuring with Re:Coded is catching a lot of attention.
It is hard to say what trailer Nomura is referring to given that the translation is a little rough. Many suspect that it could mean that a KH3D trailer will make an appearance at Tokyo Game Show, it is certainly a possibility.
Nomura Cryptically Reveals A Possible Re:Coded Trailer
Tue, Aug 24th, 2010, 10:23 am (EST) by Nick
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has been tweeting up a storm since being ordered by Square Enix to join the social networking site. As well as other titles, Nomura mentioned Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded in a recent tweet about the upcoming Tokyo Games Show.
"We've started preparations for Tokyo Game Show", Nomura tweeted. "Just earlier, I received a confirmation phone call from staff who are in the office." Unfortunately, being the cryptic man that he is, Nomura didn't reveal who the staff were or what the phone call was about.
Square Enix haven't revealed their TGS plans as of yet but Nomura did reveal that he is working on some promotional video editing for Re:Coded. This could mean that a Re:Coded trailer will be revealed at TGS and hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3D will make some sort of appearance too.
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Is Almost Complete Tweets Nomura
Tue, Aug 10th, 2010, 10:12 am (EST) by Nick
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has recently become an avid user of Twitter to keep fans up to date with the projects he is working on. Most of Nomura's tweets have referred to the Square Enix title The 3rd Birthday, but he mentioned Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded as well.
Nomura had tweeted "KH Re:Coded, which is set for release on 10/7, is almost complete as far as development goes. We're currently working on the packaging and promotions. The approach has changed a bit this time to light taste."
Shortly after Nomura had sent out the tweet, an image of the official Re:Coded pre-order box art was revealed for fans to take a look. It is by no means the finished version and may be subject to change, but at least Japanese fans can expect something similar for when the game is released in a few months.
Nomura Sheds Some Light On Kingdom Hearts 3D
Mon, Aug 2nd, 2010, 12:43 pm (EST) by Nick
Avid readers of Kingdom Heart's news will probably remember that a small snippet of a Dengeki Interview with Tetsuya Nomura was released. Those same readers will be delighted to know that a full translation of the Interview has now been released and KHInsider's very own member Lissar has provided a translation of the whole thing.
- The story behind how they got started on development for KH3D (temporary title) was that Nintendo talked to them really enthusiastically about it, and SE wanted to jump on board and they asked them if they could make something for this hardware.
Since they were asked to do something with KH, that will be the starting point for the game, but they are planning on expanding it to titles other than KH.
As to where it will start at, all he can say is that it starts around the same time.

Nomura Could Make Kingdom Hearts Work On Wii
Mon, Jun 28th, 2010, 1:42 pm (EST) by Jon
Our beloved series has three brand new games in the works. Nomura has stated that two of them are spin-offs, and one is the long anticipated KHIII. There is almost no doubt that Kingdom Hearts III will be for Sony's Playstation 3, but what about the other two games? Where will those be stationed?
Square Enix prevailed in their ongoing quest to dominate every system with a great game for the Nintendo DS, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. The DS worked well for Kingdom Hearts, making it the second Nintendo system that Kingdom Hearts has been on. This begs the question, has Nomura ever considered the Wii for a Kingdom Hearts game?
Logically, this move makes a lot of sense considering how wide-spread Kingdom Hearts is becoming. It is crossing system barriers and still coming out strong. But could the Wii become the downfall of Nomura's conquest?
