In a recent interview conducted by MCV UK Square Enix's UK Sales Director, Doug Bone, stated that their upcoming Nintendo DS game, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has so far been quite successful in pre-orders. It definitely seems like a great achievement for Square Enix with the lead up to the Christmas holidays, and although no major information has been divulged as to how many pre-orders are actually being talked about he did have this to say:
"Kingdom Hearts has always been incredibly popular. As the first new release into the franchise for three years, pre-orders are already way in excess of typical DS product."
Quite a promising outlook for the 358/2 Days when it hits the european shelves it seems. They also commented on taking the advertising of the game quite seriously and have in place several promotional schemes to help boost sales further, lastly adding.
"The strength of the brand, quality of the product and the perfect timing in the approach to Christmas all set Kingdom Hearts up as a star performer for retail over the peak period."
The game is actually looking quite something at this moment in time, and with it being released on the 9th of October, it's definitely promising news. Fans should be happy that Square Enix are trying to get maximum exposure for this title.
