Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Poster Revealed At TGS 2011
The Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance poster has been revealed at TGS giving Kingdom Hearts fans a ton more information about this next installment.
It seems that Sora and Riku have gone through a bit of a makeover this game. Sora's design seems to be a bit of a mixture of his Kingdom Hearts I costume and his Kingdom Hearts II costume. His pants are red and puffy much like the first game, but his top has a huge white "X" which is similar to the belts on his pants from the second game. Riku's costume doesn't seem to look too different from Kingdom Hearts II but his hair is noticeably shorter and is looking more like Noctis' hair from the notoriously unreleased Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
But aside from the makeovers, you may notice that there are a couple of added monsters in the poster. The big puffy unicorn type creature is known as "Wonder Cat" (Wandanyan) and he is one of Sora's two companions while the one who looks a bit more like Zubat from the Pokemon series is actually called "Bat Bat" (Koumoribatto) who is one of Riku's companions. They are all Dream Eaters and, remarkably, Dream Eaters are the main enemies of the game. They are creatures, a bit like heartless, but instead of stealing hearts, they eat up your sleep. How these two become your friends/party members has not been explained fully yet, but it begs the question, where are Donald and Goofy?
Finally, the poster reveals Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance's release date which will be some time in Spring 2012 which if you think about it, really is not that far away.
