Nomura: KH3 Won't Be The Next Game

by Nick

The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu Weekly has featured an interview with Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura. We recently reported that a snippet of the interview had been released but now it is available in full.

KHInsider members Lassar and krexia have posted translations of Famitsu's interview with Nomura in full on their forum. The interview consists of the Kingdom Hearts series as a whole with references to Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, as well as Birth by Sleep and the Japanese exclusive Kingdom Hearts: Coded.

The most important part to note in the interview is near the end when Nomura is asked if Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released sometime near the 10th anniversary of the series. Nomura replies "No no, that's still a secret (laughs). The title with a connection to the mystery series that I mentioned before will come out first". If the translation is accurate, then that means Kingdom Hearts 3 will not be the next title in the series.

The full interview has been separated into two parts, both of which can be found in the links below, be warned though as the interview contains spoilers and may ruin the story for some.
