Noruma Talks Kingdom Hearts 3D in Famitsu Interview
Famitsu recently grabbed an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, who revealed quite a few interesting pieces of information regarding Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance.
Alongside the worlds of Pinnochio and The Three Musketeers, there's a world based on Fantasia known as "Symphony of Sorcery." The scans show Mickey donning his apprentice's attire while in his dream sequence, meeting with Riku, and along with the enchanted brooms. There's also an image that has Chernabog appearing in front of Riku.
Nomura continues on and notes a bit on the characters that are featured in the game. From the trailers released so far, we've seen several members from Organization XIII make their return but with a different appearance; in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, they return as their whole human selves with memories of their time as nobodies. Also the Mysterious Figure who appeared in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is said to be back in this game.
There are a few new creatures to add onto the Dream Eater collection. The two new Spirits that will aid Sora and Riku in battle are Handsome Pegasus and Horned Cricket Tobusu. The other couple of Dream Eaters are Nightmares who're known as Hasemi Stag Beetle and Monstrous Pierrot.
In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance there's a multiplayer mini-game where you can put your Dream Eaters to battle against a friend's via ad-hoc wireless. These competitions occur differently than normal battles and by participating in them, you're able to level up your Dream Eaters in the process.
As mentioned earlier in a previous article, Noruma teased about the ending to the game. The original ending didn't make the cut and this new ending is said to have a shorter secret movie than the secret movies in the previous Kingdom Hearts installments. Although it's short, it's said to be just like Kingdom Heart's Re:Coded's secret movie in that it will connect to the next shocking developments to the series.
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance is up for a release in Japan on March 29 for the Nintendo 3DS.
